These8-bit shift registers have multiplexed input/output data ports to accomplishfull 8-bit datahandling in a single 20-pin package. Serial data may enterthe shift-right register througheither D0 or D1 inputs as selected by the dataselect pin. A serial output is also provided. Synchronous parallel loading isachieved by taking the register enable and the S/Pinputs low. This places thethree-state input/output ports in the data input mode. Data is entered on the low-to-high clock transition.Thedata extend function repeats the sign in theQAflip-flopduring shifting. An overriding clear input clears the internal registerswhen taken low whether the outputs are enabled or off. The output enable does not affect synchronous operation of the register.

DESCRIPTION
The DS26LS32 and DS26LS32A are quad differential line receivers designed to meet the RS-422, RS-423 and Federal Standards 1020 and 1030 for balanced and unbalanced digital data transmission.
The DS26LS32 and DS26LS32A have an input sensitivity of 200 mV over the input voltage range of ±7V and the DS26LS33 has an input sensitivity of 500 mV over the input voltage range of ±15V.
The DS26LS32A differs in function from the popular DS26LS32 and DS26LS33 in that input pull-up and pull-down resistors are included which prevent output oscillation on unused channels.
Each version provides an enable and disable function common to all four receivers and features TRI-STATE outputs with 8 mA sink capability. Constructed using low power Schottky processing, these devices are available over the full military and commercial operating temperature ranges.

DESCRIPTION
The AM26LS32A and AM26LS33A devices are quadruple differential line receivers for balanced and unbalanced digital data transmission. The enable function is common to all four receivers and offers a choice of active-high or active-low input. The 3-state outputs permit connection directly to a bus-organized system. Fail-safe design ensures that, if the inputs are open, the outputs always are high.
Compared to the AM26LS32 and the AM26LS33, the AM26LS32A and AM26LS33A incorporate an additional stage of amplification to improve sensitivity. The input impedance has been increased, resulting in less loading of the bus line. The additional stage has increased propagation delay; however, this does not affect interchangeability in most applications.
The AM26LS32AC and AM26LS33AC are characterized for operation from 0°C to 70°C. The AM26LS32AI is characterized for operation from –40°C to 85°C. The AM26LS32AM and AM26LS33AM are characterized for operation over the full military temperature range of –55°C to 125°C.

General Description
This device contains six independent gates each of which performs a non-inverting buffer function. The outputs have the TRI-STATE feature. When enabled, the outputs exhibit the low impedance characteristics of a standard LS output with additional drive capability to permit the driving of bus lines without external resistors.

description
These 8-bit registers feature 3-state outputs designed specifically for driving highly capacitive or relatively low-impedance loads. The high-impedance 3-state and increased high-logic-level drive provide these registers with the capability of being connected directly to and driving the bus lines in a bus-organized system without need for interface or pullup components. These devices are particularly attractive for implementing buffer registers, I/O ports, bidirectional bus drivers, and working registers.
